A unique opportunity to spearhead the European expansion efforts of a large and successful online marketplace business with virtually unlimited market potential.

LoopNet is seeking an experienced B2B marketing leader to own the successful growth of our marketing operations in Europe. Based in London and reporting to the VP of Marketing, this important position oversees our expanding marketing organisation in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe.

Our stated goal is to deliver the world’s #1 marketplace for commercial properties.

Critical to achieving that goal is the delivery of effective marketing activities which grow brand awareness, communicate the value of LoopNet’s product to our target audiences, and drive revenue generation through ecommerce transactions and via our sales teams. The Senior Director of Marketing, Europe, will play a critical role in building and managing the marketing team to deliver in each of these areas.

With the support of the central marketing function in Richmond, Virginia, European marketing teams will localise and adapt centrally created marketing campaigns and materials, augmenting them with additional activities tailored to the nuances and specific situation in the local market. The Senior Director of Marketing, Europe, will supervise and optimise this process to ensure strong results for the business and professional development for the individuals within the team.


Successful performance in this varied and important role will rely upon delivering high performance across a range of tasks including:

  • Closely coordinating with European leadership, including stakeholders at the European HQ level, and within local market brands.
  • Partnering with the European head of sales to ensure total alignment of sales and marketing priorities.
  • Defining the European marketing strategy, in line with the global objectives of the business and the global marketing strategy.
  • Hiring and onboarding local marketing staff in line with our expansion plans.
  • Setting clear priorities for local marketing efforts, closely linked to the goals of the business and the point in time.
  • Supervising the output of the team, ensuring high quality, relevance to the brief, and high likelihood of successfully meeting the objectives.
  • Overseeing the European marketing budget for LoopNet.
  • Contributing to campaigns and projects with your own ideas – running key European marketing projects directly.
  • Setting the tone for the culture of the team, ensuring that a geographically disparate group feels connected and engaged with the LoopNet marketing ‘way of working’.
  • Documenting relevant marketing policies and processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and corporate policies.
  • Managing key vendor relationships, ensuring the team has adequate resources from a tools & technology perspective in order to successfully perform.
  • Managing team performance and professional development.

Note: this position will include direct reports in markets outside of the UK. The successful applicant must be willing and able to travel frequently, within continental Europe and the United States. ~1 working week per month should be spent in-market with local teams.


  • Demonstrable experience managing a B2B marketing department for an advertising, marketplace, technology, software or data business.
  • Experience running teams across different countries, ideally in European markets.
  • Excellent skills in B2B marketing strategy and planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a diplomat who can bring teams together around a common goal.
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to connect and effectively communicate with colleagues, stakeholders and customers from different countries, cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical skills and high-level of comfort with numbers and reporting.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a large organisation where collaboration is key.
  • A motivated self-starter who is confident and comfortable establishing new working processes and getting things done.
  • A great sense of humour, a desire to continuously improve, and the willingness to put the team first
  • Degree level education or equivalent in a related field.
  • European languages: spoken and written French, Spanish or German would all be significantly advantageous.
  • Copywriting or creative strength is a plus – marketers of every level of seniority contribute campaign ideas, copy and concepts.
  • Experience marketing products or services in the real estate sector.
