Cox Automotive, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is seeking a Lead Product Manager to join our in Atlanta, GA. 

The Lead Product Manager role will be responsible for developing, managing and Manheim’s Vehicle Imaging solution. The role includes but is not limited to partnering closely with the business and clients, contributing to and managing the product roadmap, working with different imaging partners internally and externally to ensure solutions fit for purpose, overseeing the implementation and working in an agile environment with a cross-functional team to deliver solutions. Recognized as an expert within the company and requires in-depth expertise in Product Management along with an interest in vehicle imaging in order to successfully manage the product. Manages the imaging product line, which is of strategic importance to the organization due to high growth, value, and involvement of many cross-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Strategy/Discovery:                                                                                                             
Formulate an in-depth understanding of imaging problems and opportunities by client segment as well as the competitive landscape.
Understand imaging solutions in the market, both for retail and wholesale, given the rapidly changing landscape.  Solutions may be from partners, OEMs, other internal business units, or 3rd parties.  Imaging solutions include both image/video capture but also lighting, backgrounding, and other elements that enable vehicles to come alive for consumers, wholesale buyers and sellers. 
Partner with the business leadership (reconditioning, Vehicle Information, and Manheim Express), physical auction leadership, operational excellence, other product teams, and retail product and business teams.

Planning:
Create and maintain product vision and roadmap; create business plans to secure funding; develop go-to-market strategy / value proposition / rate card for each service with good/better/best options. 
Create Epics, Features, and Stories, ensuring they align across products; manage feature creation, identify business rules and business/operational impact

Development:
Work with in-house and third party providers to deliver solutions that work for the operations team and clients.  Heavy coordination effort to ensure all parties are talking through all use cases.  Once developed, work with deployment team to deliver software, hardware, and instructions to ensure success and product traction.
Iterate to ensure success and continued adoption.
Sales & Client Engagement:
Partner with client solutions, product readiness and marketing teams to articulate the strategies and programs that will generate awareness and leads for the upcoming fiscal period - including measurements and goals.            

Evaluation:
Assess product performance against KPIs and makes corrections to improve performance; create and deliver thoughtful information to influence key market constituents; make end-of-life recommendations for non-performant products.
 

Qualifications:

Required Experience (minimum): 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • 7 years; or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Using expertise, resolves a wide range of issues using strategic and innovative thinking. Is fully familiar with recognized industry bodies of knowledge both generic and specific.                                                                                                                                   
  • Actively seeks out new knowledge for own personal development and the mentoring or coaching of others.
  • Develops a wide breadth of knowledge across the industry or business.
  • Applies knowledge to help to define the standards which others will apply.
  • Working experience in design, development and implementation of product plans.
  • Working experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.
  • Working experience in creating, prioritizing and recommending epics and features.
  • Working experience in in conducting competitive research and analysis.
  • Working experience in identifying KPI's and other analytics to measure product value.
  • Working experience in a collaborative, cross-functional, and complex team environment.
