The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive approach to deliver products, capabilities, services, and enhancements in accordance with the Product Security roadmap. Works with security leadership, engineering enablement, engineering teams, architecture, and a cross-functional Scrum team to deliver capabilities to the Cox Automotive organization.
The Senior Product Owner will focus on application security testing services, automation tooling, and capabilites that make it easier for engineers to build securely from the start. Application, Cloud, Container, Serverless, and Infrastructure-as-Code security capabilities are all included in the Product Security Engineering portfolio. The Sr. Product Owner will be expected to think strategically to create a bias for prevention over remedation. They will research rapidly-evolving application and cloud security trends and creatively solve problems through collaboration with partners, understanding their context and protecting the developer experience.
The Sr. Product Owner manages the roadmap of products, capabilities, services and enhancements using the strategic vision as well as established key performance indicators. The role understands the functionality and determines the capability implementation schedule with partners. The Sr PO also prioritizes and maintains the product backlog serving a large engineering organization and performs just-in-time story elaboration with the development team
Own and maintain the scrum team(s) product backlog and development details in alignment with development and planning processes
Prioritize and manage backlog and implementation, ensure product execution meets strategy and requirements and refine features into user stories and story acceptance criteria.
Partner with Product Managers to understand and influence product strategy and roadmaps, aggregate and conceive ideas for enhancing product performance and achieving product success/KPIs.
Perform product role and responsibilities on scrum team(s) to build, enhance and manage products, capabilities and services.
Coordinate with security, architecture, and engineering enablement teams to deliver on a vision that crosses multiple delivery teams.
Assess product and service performance against KPIs and make corrections to improve performance and regularly communicate performance of the product/experience to stakeholders and the organization.
Relationship Management - Implements stakeholder engagement communications plan. Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
Product Management - Reviews analysis and performance monitoring for specified products. Supports problem resolution, resolves issues and acts on feedback and usage of in-life products. Contributes to product collateral and monitors results and feedback from product launches. Responsible for one or more products, depending upon the products complexity.

Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field and 7+ years of Product Owner or Product Management or Product/Security experience.
Requires and applies a broad knowledge of business, product performance and industry principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills
Working knowledge for SAFe Agile Methodology
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, that can be applied across a diverse set of audiences.
High-level understanding of engineering architecture with experience working with engineering teams to deliver products.
Work experience in design, development, and implementation of product plans.
Working experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.
Working experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Experience with Risk, Security, Privacy, and Compliance domains
Familiarity with Application Security Testing capabilities and processes, such as: Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Integrated Application Security Testing (IAST)
Familiarity with Edge protections and services, such as: Web Application Firewall (WAF), Runtime Application Security Protection (RASP), and API Gateways
Familiar with challenges related to 3rd party code, including approaches like software supply chain security, software bill of materials (SBOM), and dependency security assessment
High-level understanding of modern software technologies: APIs, cloud capabilities, containers, serverless infrastructure, and infrastructure-as-code
Able to research evolving trends and quickly understand benefits and threats of new technologies
Manage fast-changing priorities in a dynamic environment to deliver the most impactful solutions to engineering stakeholders
