The Marketing Specialist II supports our product marketing team and managers in Cox Automotive s Inventory Software Solutions (IMS) group portfolio of brands. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter with project management expertise to support client engagement, tradeshow/events, lead reporting, budgeting, and media placement activities.

Collaboration, effective communications, and leadership are critical to the success in this role. This position will partner with marketing counterparts across Cox Automotive and IMS, leverage agencies and roll up their sleeves to develop and executive plans.

Job Responsibilities:

Tradeshows/Events:

    • Work with Cox tradeshow team on all tradeshows and franchise/independent association meeting
    • Keep timeline on all key deliverable and make sure always on time
    • Work with product marketers on speakers and deliverables
    • Represent IMS on bi-monthly meeting with Cox and communication to marketing team as needed
    • Project manager on all internal and external IMS events

Client Engagement:

    • Update links to training, posting on website, and send out monthly email.
    • When in person workshop come back (on pause due to Covid) - work with PM and director on top locations then manage the logistics from hotel selection to invitations being sent. All locations are based on data from past topics and attendance.
    • Make sure all above information posted and updated on vAuto.com

Budget:

    • Manage and track budgets per vendor per product across IMS. Also work with Director on managing entire budget for Marketing for the fiscal year.
    • Gather all bills or accruals at the first of the month for finance team.
    • Hold monthly meetings with finance team and then have monthly meetings with marketing team to review actual numbers to date.
    • Make sure marketing coordinator gets all invoices approved and entered into system

Paid Media:

    • Work with director on media placements across all IMS products.
    • Also, make sure agencies/product marketing team keep campaigns updated and communicate to team each week.

Leads/Opportunities

    • Work with Cox Automotive sales operations team ongoing to make sure workflow process continues to evolve and no bottle neck in leads, opportunities, and demos.
    • Responsible for all lead data and reporting at NADA and cox events, working with IMS digital team and Cox Automotive marketing communication team.
    • Monitor sales and support 1-800 number as well as provide monthly reporting. Recommend adjusting strategy if needed.
    • Manage bi-weekly leads meeting with sales operations and address all areas of opportunities and keep line of communications open.

Vendor Management:

    • Oversee marketing specialist and the coordination of branded swag. In addition, make sure all inventory tracked and managed for IMS brands.
    • Maintaining relationship with third party vendors for promotional materials, printing, events, etc.

Manage Marketing Specialist Team Member:

    • This role will manage a new marketing specialist role who will be responsible for invoicing, ordering, sponsorships, IMS branded inventory and shipping. In addition, the marketing specialist will assist in any tradeshows or events needed as well as support the Director of Marketing.

Compensation:

  • Compensation includes a base salary of $53,958 - 75,582. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BA Marketing/Communications/Business or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collaborative, team player
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and serve as project manager to support IMS. Keep lines of communication open across marketing team and deliver all deadlines for projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Strong analytical skills needed
  • Strong work ethic - self-motivated and able to take initiative
  • Automotive experience preferred
