The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful marketing of several highly complex voice services for commercial business. The role requires in depth product knowledge as well as the ability to successfully position Voice Services in a manner that retains and expands market share and increases revenue. This role requires a leader who can collaborate effectively with corporate product resources, learn and support peer product marketing managers portfolios, and work independently.

This leader will plan, develop, and execute marketing programs to produce customer and revenue growth in Voice Services for Cox Business. The role is responsible for development and execution of growth strategies, and for the launch and ongoing maintenance of new products, features, and product enhancements, as well as the pricing, bundling, and overall user experience for the business customer. This leader will help to generate sales leads for all sales channels.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  1. Oversees daily operations of the marketing function for the voice services in the Omaha and Las Vegas markets.
  2. Develop and execute marketing acquisition strategies to achieve overarching business objectives.
  3. Creates competitive comparison grids, sales talking points, and other appropriate tools for all customer touch points.
  4. Reviews all relevant local marketing communications to ensure accurate and proper product positioning.
  5. Effectively takes advantage of marketing opportunities through packaging, positioning, distribution and pricing strategies that achieve competitive advantage and optimize revenue performance.
  6. Responsible for regions achievement of product financial goals including revenue, units, ARPU, churn, profitability, customer satisfaction, etc.
  7. Provide subject matter expertise for voice services and champions initiatives throughout the market organization.
  8. Evaluates, product pricing and structure to produce recommendations that will maximize customer satisfaction, boost new customer acquisition, and ensure product stability.
  9. Performs ongoing analysis of product line performance including market promotions, actual performance to budget and forecasts, and takes appropriate actions to ensure operational excellence against service level agreements and service objectives.
  10. Conducts customer, industry, competitive market, product, geographic, and segment trend analysis to maximize marketing effectiveness and identify revenue expansion opportunities.
  11. Responsible for sales team voice services knowledge. Works with sales leadership and regional training partners to ensure training timeliness and frequency is met.
  12. Sources customers for alpha/beta testing and use cases.
  13. Conducts in-market kick-offs for new product initiatives, as well as supports Regional Marketing team during in-market events.
  14. Approves special pricing for specific customer opportunities per defined pricing guidelines.
  15. Cultivates positive cross-functional relationships with other product teams, outside vendors, and network providers to effectively satisfy customer needs.

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing strongly desired
  • 3+ years of experience required in related field
  • Requires proven skills in managing voice related products and services such as VoIP Phone services, IP PRI, trunking services, and other voice transport services
  • Strong presentation skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Strong business analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • Travel 25%


  • Experience in a leading cross functional projects preferred
  • Experience in telecommunications industry preferred
