First things first: you didnt even know Cox Gaming was a thing, did you? Well, with your trailblazing know-how and pioneering spirit, it will be.
While we do have a foothold in the esports world already, were not quite yet known as a gaming company. That will change faster than Tracer from Overwatch. Cox Communications New Growth & Development Group is looking for a Growth Manager to help realize and define the future of our gaming arm. Were on the hunt for people with insight and foresight —and a love of gaming certainly wouldnt hurt. If that sounds like you, we want to meet you!
Whats In It For You?

Cox would be nothing without its people, and we take care of them first. Heres a peak at our best-in-class benefits package and award-winning employee culture:

  • We all have lives and responsibilities outside of work, and we respect that. We have an exceptional work/life balance at Cox, with accommodating work schedules and flexible time-off policies.

  • We help you prepare for the future with a 401(k) (that well generously match), life insurance and disability insurance.
  • Youll enjoy a generous suite of healthcare benefits with various deductible options, along with pharmacy benefits, Flexible Spending Account & Health Savings Account options, counseling for mental wellness and more.
  • As you grow your family, rest assured that youll have access to our inclusive parental leave policies, plus comprehensive fertility coverage and adoption assistance.
  • Want to volunteer in your community? We encourage that, and even offer paid hours for you to do so.
  • Our employees enjoy discounts on computers, entertainment, travel and more.
  • Continuing education and professional development are important, and at Cox we offer both.
  • We all love our pets—whether they walk, crawl, fly, swim or slither—and were happy to supply insurance for them as well.
It doesnt end there, either. Our benefits are as diverse as our employees at Cox, giving you the freedom to choose what works best for you and your family.
What Youll Do
Youll sit around playing video games all day. Just kidding. How great would that be, though?
Were on a mission to delight gamers with unparalleled access and experiences by giving them what they love easier, faster and on their own terms. Youll help us do that by managing strategic initiatives and driving hypotheses for new growth businesses. You can probably sneak in a gaming break here and there too. Heres how youll spend your day:
  • Collaborating across diverse teams to identify, evaluate and launch new growth opportunities.
  • Developing business, financial, forecasting, strategic and operational plans for new business initiatives.
  • Communicating program objectives, priorities and direction to all stakeholders.
  • Translating program objectives into integrated project plans, schedules and budgets.
  • Identifying, assessing and managing vendor, development, investment and partnership opportunities.
  • Performing ongoing analyses of trends and conducting broad strategic assessments of growth initiatives for the Cox Gaming team to incubate.
  • Leading the development and implementation of programs with multiple projects.
  • Developing relevant program management deliverables such as plans, business cases, program charters, risk assessments, stakeholder assessment, communication plans, issue/risk logs, benefits tracking and program status reports.
  • Defining and tracking project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.

Qualifications:

Who You Are

You feel a certain call of duty. You could spend a whole fortnight studying the mass effect of fallout on plants vs. zombies. You love gaming puns. Probably.

  • Intellectual horsepower, desire and ability to learn new domains and technologies quickly.
