The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the dominant news source in Georgia and much of the Southeast, is seeking a multimedia photojournalist to join its award-winning Visuals team. Candidates must have sound news judgment and be able to produce storytelling photography and video from everyday and project-level assignments. Sports experience is a plus.

The AJC is located in Georgias capitol city, which is home to multiple colleges and HBCUs; winning pro and college sports teams; Peach Bowl and Masters coverage; Fortune 500 companies; a rich civil rights history; a robust arts and music scene; and a vibrant photography community including the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, Americas longest continuously operating photojournalism conference.

Georgia is home to some of the most racially and ethnically diverse areas of the country. Atlanta suburbs include some of the fastest-growing areas of the country, a sprawling collection of once-rural, white communities that are increasingly urbanized and international. Atlanta encompasses everything fascinating about city life in the American South: Growing communities of immigrants set against a backdrop of formerly Black and White racial dynamics, a population of roughly 6 million people in a state that has transitioned from ironclad Republican rule to a genuine political swing state, national attention on every election and every vote, and tons of money and development to keep things interesting.

If you love news, enjoy visually showcasing the diversity that is defining America and are inspired by visually telling stories that matter and inspire others, our newsroom is a great place to ply your craft.
