As part of Coxs Marketing team, youll help position us as the employer of choice, and will team up with a group of talent acquisition and marketing experts to achieve a goal thats both noble and fun: helping people find their dream jobs.

Thats the basics of what youll be doing. As for the where: Well, were headquartered in Atlanta but you can live anywhere in the U.S. for this gig so if remote work or working from home is your jam, thats cool with us.

What Youll Do

First, youll focus on making sure our job descriptions are as amazing as our company. Working with Talent Acquisition, Marketing (i.e. our team!), Human Resources and the leaders who are hiring, youll craft award-winning prose that both clearly define the job and also excite people to want to work here. This is more art than science, and youll experiment with different lengths, formats and styles until we find the right formula that creates that amazing first impression we referenced. For many job candidates, their make or break moment is reading a job description, so this is a big role that has a lot of visibility; but hey, thats what fuels your passion, right?

As time allows, youll also be assisting with other fun writing projects like creating social media content, interviewing employees and crafting employee spotlights, developing blog posts, newsletters and more. In other words, youll have variety in your day as you move between different writing assignments, all geared towards capturing the attention of the top talent we need for our company to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Writing / editing job descriptions that are on par with the best mystery novels out there (for captivating the readers attention; not so much the murder mystery part). Youll partner with our marketing team + hiring managers across the company and Coxs Talent Acquisition team to do so.
  • Conducting "intake" calls with recruiters or hiring leaders to better understand each open role and what the ideal candidate will bring to the table
  • Writing additional bits of copy such as email newsletters, ad copy, social media or blog posts
  • Partner with our creative design team to develop new ads and promotional materials

Who You Are

Fishing may not be your favorite pastime, but you love creating a great hook. Creativity flows through your veins like an electric current, and you use that energy to juice the enthusiasm of your readers, too. Youve mastered different writing challenges across platforms and genres - everything from long-form interviews to viral social posts, and lots of points in between.

Compensation:

  • Compensation includes a base salary of $59,920 - 74,900. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, screenwriting, journalism, marketing, advertising or related field of content creation.
  • Youre skilled in both long-form and short-form writing - in other words, youre just as amazing writing a newsletter as you are crafting a phenomenal headline.
  • Youre able to embody the tone and voice of a brand, while still bringing your own unique flair to the table.
  • Your a stickler for grammar (did you catch our typo there?), are a great self-editor and open to edits from your partners and manager as well
  • Youre organized, can handle deadlines with ease and can quickly pivot between projects
  • Great at building partnerships and talking to people youve never met (e.g., conducting research, interviews and networking)
  • Youre a born collaborator who plays well with others
