What You'll Do - Position Summary

The Client Solutions Executive is a seller focused on acquiring new accounts and maintaining current accounts with existing clients. From digital video and internet to cloud solutions and managed services, you'll work with a robust portfolio. You'll negotiate pricing, products, and promos, create and deliver product presentations, and hit your sales goals out of the proverbial park. You'll be responsible for new account development, upselling and renewing existing clients. As such, this role requires the ability to quickly develop relationships, identify and engage with decision makers. Create solutions to meet customers' business communications needs and manage the sales process to ensure client satisfaction. Expand the customer base, while meeting corporate/regional revenue goals. Maintain on-going relationships and retain an assigned base of existing customers, minimizing controllable churn. You'll have a quota tied to a lucrative commission plan, so your earnings are in your hands. You may also manage industry-specific customers.

You'll also tackle these to-dos - Functional Accountabilities:

  • Generate new sales opportunities; identify new prospects or new opportunities within existing Cox Business customers.
  • Call on prospective customers to develop new or expanded sales opportunities.
  • Meet with prospective and existing customers to assess their technology needs and goals. Estimate the amount of potential new or incremental business the account represents.
  • Proactively contact customers prior to contract expiration and/or responds to customer requests to problem solve, renew / revise contracts and sell additional products and services.
  • Develop strategies, and presentations to sell complex bundled voice, data, and video solutions to customers.
  • Use consultative and value-based selling techniques to leverage the position of Cox Business to educate and influence customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and products with new and existing customers. Ensure that product pricing reflects pricing structures set at the corporate level.
  • Serve as main point of contact and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle; Make frequent contact; maintain in-depth knowledge of customers' business, industry, and key competitors; regularly update needs analysis
  • Proactively manage the base of revenue by contacting customers prior to contract expiration for renewal and upsell.
  • Manage and maintain required pipeline, win/loss, and forecast data, and provide any updates as required by management.
  • Assist with other duties as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. Minimum Skills, Experience, & Education

  • 6+ years related sales, retention, or service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Successful track record meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Requires proficiency and relative work experience using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office and a CRM- customer relationship management tool.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years technology or telecommunications sales experience.
  • Field sales, pipeline development, new lead generation and prospecting experience.
  • Knowledge of local telecom market and local contacts.
