Associate Director - Recruiting
Specific responsibilities include the following:•Interviewing for a variety of positions to assess cognitive skills, interpersonal skills, writing ability and motivation. Goal is to identify and maintain a high bar for talent.•Building strong relationships with senior managers and staff across the company.•Marketing the company to candidates, developing a sense for what sells in this market and how to package our positions and opportunities.•Managing existing pipelines for talent and building new ones: generating new ideas for candidate sourcing, driving internal referrals and when appropriate managing relationships with search firms.•Analyzing and improving recruiting strategies for hiring.•Participating in a variety of special projects as needed (i.e. job descriptions analysis of hiring sources, refining our selection process, etc.)Desired candidate attributes include the following:•Strong research instincts and intuition—an ability to probe beyond the experiences and accomplishments listed on a candidate’s resume to understand how candidates think and what personal attributes allowed them to succeed in the past•Relationship building—building trust among senior managers and candidates by approaching all work with integrity and commitment•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written•Decisiveness•Attention to detail and operational bent (able to manage a large and complex process)•Spirit of generosity and enthusiasm•Superior professionalism, discretion and judgementInterested individuals should apply online at www.theatlantic.com.Atlantic Media is an equal opportunity employer.
