Government Executive is seeking a reporter to cover the operations and management of the federal government for its daily news Web site. is the premier source of daily news on the operations of government. The web site attracts 400,000 unique visitors per month and our flagship daily e-newsletter, Today, has more than 100,000 subscribers.

Primary duties include:
  • Write breaking news stories (approx. 500 words) every day on federal management issues, with a special emphasis on the government's growing efforts to outsource operations.
  • Develop sources and use them to uncover previously unreported stories.
  • Participate in development of new special features of the Web site.
We're looking for an energetic, team-oriented person with a demonstrated ability to develop sources and write breaking news stories on daily deadlines. One to two years journalism experience required.
