Dow Jones & Co., publishers of The Wall Street Journal, has a great opportunity for an energized and highly motivated Sales Representative to sell advertising campaigns in the Global Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Online, particularly the Classified Ventures suite of products.

Qualified candidates will represent Dow Jones and are accountable for selling across all product lines. The salesperson has groomed their professional sales skills utilizing effective telemarketing and in person meetings with prospects and clients.

The position emphasizes the sale of integrated advertising programs in all Dow Jones properties and includes developing and delivering oral / visual presentations, preparing sales reports and letters, analyzing the market for sales potential, and developing new strategies.

Participation in job-related social functions will be required. Some travel will be necessary as well.

Position Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience selling in complimentary business line. Must understand and employ the solution selling model and practice strong work discipline including contact management tools.

The ideal candidate will have excellent presentation and communication skills. The ability to close business is essential to achieve success.

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred; online sales experience a plus.
