We are looking for an advertising sales professional with a successful sales history of working with local/regional clients (hotels, luxury real estate, museums, entertainment, travel, retail, restaurants, etc.) in Philadelphia, Baltimore, or Washington, D.C.

While working from home, you will be able to manage the sales process from initial contact to continued relationship management with existing clients and new business contacts. Since this position involves regional sales, you would enjoy selling on the telephone and occasionally traveling to meet your clients face to face in your territory. Your sales, presentation, and written communication skills have been honed through your 3-5 years of verifiable success in advertising sales. This position reports to the Publisher.

Responsibilities

•Cultivate relationships with local/regional advertisers to meet and exceed revenue objectives.
•Actively manage and develop existing accounts and generate new leads.
• Manage the full advertising life cycle with client RFP’s.
•Utilize research and manage the database to identify new clients and provide excellent customer service to existing advertisers.
•Work with the Publisher to develop marketing and promotional campaigns and contact strategies that deliver revenue growth.

Requirements
•A solid background in advertising sales with a demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue goals and delivering quality work.
•Extensive knowledge of, and contacts in, the Philadelphia, Baltimore, and D.C. advertising markets.
•A keen sense of entrepreneurship with the ability to work independently.
•A “roll up your sleeves” work ethic and customer service oriented approach to doing business.
•Must be a strong closer/negotiator that can proactively assess new accounts and reach decision makers at all levels.
•Ability to assess the external environment for economic, market and competitive factors affecting advertising sales goals.
•Advanced verbal, written and presentation skills, analytical thinking, personal organization and interpersonal dynamics.
•Ability to travel.
•Bachelor’s degree.
