National Journal Group, Washington's leading online and print publisher of news and information on politics and policy, currently seeks a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual to join our sales team as an Account Executive to contribute to the growth of our rapidly expanding media enterprise.


Account Executive Responsibilities Include:

•Through inside sales, develop new business in the following sectors: government, non-profit, corporate, law/lobby, and public relations
•Create a strategic plan for approaching prospective subscribers to include profiling and qualifying clients
•Achieve monthly individual and team sales goals
•Actively seek and develop leads to continually grow business
•Target and reach key decision makers
•Attend related professional events in order to network with key decision-makers


Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

•1-2 years sales experience, inside sales experience a plus
•Outstanding record of achievement in current/past sales positions
•Self-motivation and strong desire to succeed
•Demonstrated sense of urgency toward achieving monthly goals
•A resilient and positive attitude with persuasive communication skills
•Creativity, persistence, and tenacity
•Effective time management and organizational skills
•Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently
•Strong work ethic
•Bachelor’s degree
