Brides.com Online & Local Print Account Executive


Brides.com, the online publication for Brides, Modern Bride and Elegant Bride magazines, brings the editorial excellence and renowned brands of Condé Nast magazines to digital media.  We are seeking an Account Executive to handle direct sales for both online and print media in our Washington DC market.

The Account Executive reports to the National Sales Manager in New York.  This position is responsible for:
 Account management and direct sales of local accounts on Brides.com Online and in our network of 16 local print magazines.
 Account management on large mail order accounts – developing and managing online ad campaigns.
 Developing proposals for clients
 Creating integrated ad programs on our web site and in our local magazines, and/or be able to work with sales people on the national magazines to create integrated proposals.
 Working with ad production to oversee ad campaigns to ensure proper delivery.
 Working with the creative services team to develop large cross media programs.

This position requires:
 At least 2 years of advertising experience, with at least 1 year selling online (experience in online media planning also meets this requirement)
 Print sales background; experience selling print and online together is a plus
 Proven track record in generating new business
 Ability to call on agency and client at all levels
 Success in selling online sponsorships and developing creative solutions for clients
 Expert-level PowerPoint and Excel skills
 Excellent communication skills

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter, high energy, personable, driven and creative.  The Account Executive will be goal oriented, with good attention to detail and strong client relationship management skills.  Travel is required.
