We are recruiting for Designer to add to our Information Department. The incumbent will create and execute electronically design concepts and artwork for a variety of printed and displayed materials published by the Institute.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Design and produce artwork for printed materials of any kind as assigned by the creative director, specifically: Urban Land magazine and its supplements, collateral, books, marketing materials, advertisements, etc.
-Consult with clients and project managers and/or creative director to determine individual project needs and requirements.
-Evaluate and prepare secondary materials for the designs created, such as photographs, illustrations, and other graphics.
-Maintain proficiency necessary in the use of hardware and software to produce electronic files; maintain proficiency in the technical aspects of the graphic design field. Software proficiency must include InDesign and Photoshop at the minimum.
-Conform to budget requirements as assigned by project managers and supervisors.
-Provide quality assurance on delivered product within the designer's purview.
-Work closely with Creative Director to maintain publishing schedules and deliver high-quality products.

REQUIREMENTS:
-2–4 years education with design/advertising emphasis.
-1+ years graphic design experience.
-Strong design/print portfolio with 4-color magazine experience.
-Ability to communicate creative ideas to diverse clients.
-Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines with accountability.
-Strong knowledge of Mac OS, InDesign, Quark Express, Adobe Creative Suite 3 (Photoshop, Illustrator), and 4-color printing workflow.
