The Account Director is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships for National Journal Group’s print and online publications and events.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Relationship building with client organizations
•Prospecting for new leads and clients through networking, research and phone calls
•Maintaining accurate sales forecasts, and tracking performance accordingly
•Working closely with team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals
•Maintaining current information in sales management system
•Responding promptly to client requests and needs

Required skills include but are not limited to:

•Outstanding record of achievement
•Effective strategic thinking
•Persuasive communication skills, ability to create and deliver convincing arguments
•Strong interpersonal skills and strength in building lasting relationships
•Strong analytics and real-time judgment
•Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
•Poise and 'grace under pressure'
•Effective time management and organizational skills
•Interest in politics and/or policy a must
•Strong academic record from respected university or college
