Position Description:We are currently seeking an experienced National Sales Representative to specialize in selling to the Independent & Specialty Bookstore market across the entire US and Canadian territory. This position will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships as well as building new ones while selling our scholarly and professional Palgrave and Distribution Client titles. This position is based out of our New York office with approximately 25% travel to the West Coast, Midwest, and also the surrounding tri-state area.Major Responsibilities:Sell scholarly & professional Palgrave and Distribution Client print titles to Independent & Specialty retail accounts across the US and Canada key focus will be on the West Coast, Midwest, and tri-state area.Targeting the entire landscape of independent & specialty bookstore opportunities with focus on a targeted list of 200 key accounts in order to strengthen existing relationships while aggressively building new ones. Provide key accounts with timely catalog information and pricing in addition to working with marketing on targeted outreach into the marketplace.Complete weekly and monthly sales reports on a timely basis. Participate in sales meetings and trainings designed to enhance product knowledge. Travel up to 25% Required Skills / Knowledge:Excellent communication skills and professional manner; Superior organizational skills; Ability to work independently as well as part of a sales team; and A strong knowledge of computers and current software Experience Needed:2+ years experience preferredEducational Background Required:College Degree required.
