Public Relations Director

The Fairchild Fashion Group is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Public Relations Director. 

Fairchild is a multi platform media company that provides insight and intelligence for senior executives in the global fashion, retail, and beauty communities, the consumer media who cover the market, and the next generation of industry leaders.  Its properties include Women's Wear Daily, WWD.com, WWDMen's, WWD Magazines, W, Footwear News, Fairchild Summits and Fairchild Books.

This key position is responsible for overseeing the Public Relations for the Fairchild Fashion Group, its CEO, the editorial side of the trade properties, and the publishing side for all properties.  This individual will handle all press efforts related to editorial and business events at the titles, as well as WWD Summits.  The Director will build brand awareness and work towards increasing the footprint of the brand internationally.  Specifically, the position will direct activities in support of media relations, announcements, editorial placement, and managing speaking engagements for the CEO and editorial.

This position requires a minimum of five years in a Public Relations leadership role representing high end brands.  Experience with media relations, campaign development and implementation and issues management are important.  Strong written and communication skills and the ability to be an effective spokesperson is a must.  The ideal candidate would have the ability to handle multiple projects and people, possess great organizational skills and strong creativity.

Experience in Fashion, Publishing, global communications or the general media is a plus.
