The Marketing Operations and Promotions Assistant Manager will assists the head of Marketing Operations and Promotions on all operations and sales-related issues. This position will oversee the management of all print and digital promotional projects for the HarperCollins Childrens Book Division including e-catalogs, displays, and printed and online promotional materials. Person must be detail oriented, organized, and have strong multi-tasking ability.

Specific tasks are as follows.

Marketing Operations and Project Management:
Close interaction with Marketing Design team and members of the marketing department to ensure proper production standards are met
Oversee Marketing Operations and Project Management Coordinator for sourcing, budget, and production of all printed and online promotional materials.
Work with Coordinator in the creation of all promotional displays
Develop, communicate, and ensure accuracy of all display work order information to inventory and warehouse
Work closely with sales to ensure/communicate proper configurations and delivery dates for all account specific (mass market and retail) requests
Liaison with online marketing and traditional marketing for project approval (micro sites, contests, quizzes, third party site, etc.)
Manage department workflow to ensure all projects are completed on schedule.
Work with and meet weekly with marketing and online group to ensure all online and printed jobs meet their due dates.

Digital Catalog
Oversee the create of three seasonal digital catalogs
Organize schedules and route to in house departments
Work with various in-house departments to make sure information is correct and up to date
Troubleshoot all art and copy issues

Candidate must have 3- 5 years work experience within the publishing industry, ad/promo or marketing experience preferred..
Candidate should be extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to set priorities under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required.
Must be able to work independently and understand the importance of deadlines.
Must possess the skill to set priorities and problem solve.
Strong computer skills necessary with MAC and PC familiarity. Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop, and general technical knowledge is highly preferred.
Copy editing and writing skills a plus
College degree or equivalent work experience required.
