The IEEE Standards Association is seeking a Program Manager, Document Development in our Piscataway, NJ location. This position will oversee the timely and high-quality production of IEEE Standards Association publications.

Manage assigned projects, from assignment through publication, working with independent contractors, vendors, and internal entities as needed to ensure that all documents are accurate and published in a timely manner.
Provide editorial support and professional direction to standards-developing committees, addressing and working through issues that include document development, intellectual property, legal, technological and international issues, either directly or through collaboration with internal or external entities.
Improve the development and delivery of products and services needed by our customers, both internal and external. Provide recommendations for streamlining the editorial process and the editorial production system.
Train freelancers in IEEE SA style and procedures.
Supply editorial services to internal entites as assigned.
Maintain and update style manuals and procedures manuals, as needed.

Must have a minimum of three years project editing and production experience that must include demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated expertise in learning and practicing different editorial styles.
B.S. or B.A. is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
