Marketing Account Executive
OverviewCognito is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and intelligent marketing account executive with 2-4 years of experience in marketing or a related field. The marketing account executive will support a rapidly growing marketing and design team in New York. Candidates should have a track record or a notable interest in helping to brainstorm, plan and execute marketing solutions for clients as well as some experience in project management. Copywriting and copyediting skills is a plus. The candidate must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and be committed to making a substantial contribution to the development and growth of Cognitos US Marketing and Design services. Cognito is a full service PR and Marketing firm focused exclusively on the financial services and financial technology sectors. Overall Responsibilities/SkillsEnthusiastic, creative self-starter with sharp attention to detail and organizational skillsResponsibility for helping to brainstorm creative marketing ideas for both clients and prospective clientsExcellent project management capabilities the ability to be highly organized and see a project through from beginning to endClient management have strong ability to communicate and work with clients closely and ensuring client happinessHave a broad understanding of marketing mediums and projects i.e. printing, video, social media, print, advertisingWriting and editing be able to develop solid copy and have impeccable editing and proofing skillsWorking well within a variety of project teamsContinue to build on knowledge of the general design industry. New trends, developments etcDeveloping and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.Accountability to management for consistently high quality delivery of projects within agreed parameters.Liasing closely with the US and UK Design teams to deliver creative briefs and ensure team stays on scheduleDeveloping financial industry knowledge and understanding of Cognito clients businessesWorking closely with Account/Project Managers, scoping projects to set and meet client expectations Working closely with UK counterparts on any global accounts to ensure the project is delivered seamlesslyAccountability for time spent on a daily basisSpecific ResponsibilitiesIn no particular order:Ongoing development of skills in new disciplinesWorking with your Account/Project Team to determine how best the clients business objectives can be metWorking with your Project Team to sell in new ideas to clients and drafting proposals (with costs) to outline the proposition.Attend briefing sessions with clients, taking detailed notes and ensuring all information required to progress to the next stage has been requested.Using information gathered at client briefings to inform other members of the Project Team of client needs and agreed process/deliverablesBriefing the Project Team on what is required of them ahead of all activities.Request estimates from third party suppliers and commissioning where required.Continued development of a network of third party suppliers: photographers, illustrators, developers, programmers, designers etcRequest print estimates based on approved specificationsMonitoring your time spent on each project against what was agreed and where necessary communicating to your manager the need for additional time and where possible illustrating why Highlighting personal areas for development with any suggested training required.
