As a Head of Category Marketing, you will be a senior marketer who knows how to engage advertisers and agencies of all sizes, at the category level. You will be responsible for leading a team of marketers to create best-in-class category events, materials, and research. You will need to have a deep familiarity with the consumer technology/online space to take AOL's premium and network assets to market in a way that engages our clients. This person will work closely with our Sales, Property, Product, and Communications teams to assure that we have consistent marketing plans and initiatives.


Lead, by example, a team of marketers to think big, create exceptional executions, and generate share growth in a highly competitive industry.
Develop marketing plans to advertisers and agencies to drive growth of AOL Advertising and Ad.com and lead implementation.
Initiate research studies and thought leadership materials to improve the dialogue on opportunities in the digital space.
Drive uptake of AOL Advertising by our current advertiser base, while aiming to grow our share of the market through innovative, best-in-class programs.
Lead the development, internal alignment and execution of the overall category planning and alignment along with the business leads.
Coordinate closely with senior leadership on growth plans.


Demonstrated experience building and leading high performing team, building a high commitment work environment and engaging with senior management.
MBA degree or equivalent required or equivalent work experience.
Significant interest or experience in media and/or technology businesses.
Solid marketing and/or management experience, some international experience a positive.
Superior business sense, problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executive leadership.
Proven track record of results, demonstrated accountability for achieving individual and shared goals.
