About the Role

OUPs global online marketing team seeks a polished and industrious entry-level marketer to join our fast-paced department. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative individual to play an integral role in an innovative, growing dept at the worlds largest university press.

The Marketing Assistant will be involved with a diverse range of marketing initiatives, including:

- Producing promotional materials
- Writing compelling copy for customer communications and promotions
- Performing sales and competitor analysis
- Producing materials for our global sales team
- Working closely with internal departments, external suppliers, and authors across the globe
- Representing Oxford at conferences and coordinating events

About You

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelors Degree with experience or strong interest in marketing. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to develop creative ideas and build these into successful promotional campaigns. This individual will be technologically savvy with strong office and computer skills. Specifically, the candidate should have:

- Excellent organizational skills, with consistently strong attention to detail
- Superb time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
- Stellar verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; aptitude to work with a variety of internal constituencies, as well as to interface with external vendors
- Strong writing and proofreading skills
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team on collaborative assignments
- Resourceful, strategic thinking combined with a strong work ethic and tenacity
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and research skills
