Journals Production Editor
Guilford Press is looking for a talented journals production editor to work directly with our Managing Editor to insure the timely production of journals while maintaining Guilfords high editorial standards. This position requires superior trafficking, communication and organizational skills and manages multiple projects in various stages of production. This position also serves as lead customer and technical service representative for electronic manuscript tracking system. Including liaise weekly with publisher and editorial office to insure quality control.Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in journal production editing with demonstrated increases in responsibilities. Candidate must have excellent proofreading skills as well as experience working directly with editors, authors and service vendors. Familiarity with typesetting, design and file management is required. Familiarity with American Psychological Association style and permissions is a plus. This position requires a bachelors degree, preferably with an emphasis on English/language. This position is near-full time (30 hours per week) and includes benefits.
