This candidate also is multifaceted, possesses a strong sense of urgency, has a fun, creative and meaningful approach to pitching and aggressively pursues any opportunity for positive exposure in national and regional broadcast television, cable, radio, online trades, entertainment outlets, major newspapers and small community papers. This candidate is detail-oriented and has the ability to self manage and accountability for deadlines.

* Bachelors Degree in Communications or related field
* Proven track record
* Solid industry media and influencer relationships
* Active understanding and experience with social media and the blogosphere
* Superb prioritizing, written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to deliver heightened productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
* Must be willing to travel


* Develops and implements short and long range publicity strategies
* Provides PR counsel to the talent, executive producer, VP of programming and correspondents
* Aggressively and proactively promotes the editorial achievements of the broadcast, talent and correspondents to print, television, radio, online and electronic press
* Works closely with the VP of programming to communicate the core positioning of the broadcast
* Creates intelligent, thoughtful and attention-grabbing pitches
* Writes, assembles and distributes press materials to include releases, pitches, press kits, etc.
* Supports communications department with all publicity efforts for breaking news, specials events and departmental publicity campaigns
