The Account Manager reports to the Sr. Account Director and is the primary point of contact for 3-5 assigned clients. The Account Manager is responsible for the overall management of the client including but not limited to strategy development, communication, execution review, presentations, contract/SOW writing and negotiation, billing and reconciliation, metrics and reporting. This role is the primary client contact interfacing with our clients on a frequent basis, perhaps daily and no less than weekly and is responsible for building and maintaining a strong client relationship that results in growth opportunities for Imagination.

Account Managers also work closely with the Managing Director and Manager, Social Content and internal client service teams requiring experience managing timelines and tight deadlines, project management skills, the ability to multi-task, problem solve, a positive attitude, and a proven ability to work in a team environment.

Specific responsibilities include:

Account Management

Demonstrates big picture understanding of client's marketing strategy and can communicate how current data insights/tactics associate with longer-term strategy objectives

Familiarity and knowledge of the clients industry and client competitors

Anticipates client questions and prepares appropriate answers/solutions

Ability to take complex ideas and explain to clients

Always thinking about how we can better serve clients and grow their business

Ability to manage difficult and complex issues

Owns overall customer experience and can confidently answer client/team questions

SOWs, contracts, billing and reconciliation of all financial matters

Schedules, prepares agendas and presents at client meetings and reviews

Attends client and industry events as necessary

Goes above and beyond the call of duty to delight the client and deliver excellent service

Travels as necessary

Responsible for creating and maintaining multiple client points of contact at the highest levels possible

Internal Management

Performs day-to-day client contact in conjunction with Content DirectorSr. Account Director and execution team

Coordinate deliverables for weekly status reports (projects, due dates, etc)

Effectively communicates client objectives and other critical information to internal execution team

Manages all tactical client communication and internal cross team coordination

Meets at least weekly with Content Directors and execution teams to review deliverable status and updates the client when necessary

Responsible for achieving client revenue and gross margin goals

Prepares and reports client status and financial updates on a monthly basis to management team

Participate when available on new business development preparation and presentations.


Previous agency experience
Understanding of social media best practices and tactics for business
CPG experience a plus
