This position is responsible for working with key stakeholders to market and increase sales for Reporting to the Marketing Director, this position will act as the primary conduit between the General Manager and site producers and the sales team to effectively translate a brands/clients needs into actionable digital ideas/online programs from ideation through the Olympics.

This position would work very closely with the Marketing Director and help to market and increase sales for the Games. Individual must have the ability to interface with internal constituencies (sales, management, research, programming) in order to secure requisite input/approvals for business opportunities. Individual must also have the ability to interface with external customers (advertisers, agencies) and translate the needs of the target brand into sellable programs that generate revenue for the Games. Individual must possess the creative ability to develop new content concepts and features as well as be extremely knowledgeable about the media marketplace to be able to apply best practices to help bring new opportunities into market.


    - Oversee big idea generation for digital, mobile and social platforms of the Olympics which includes meeting with edit and production regularly to ensure concept feasibility and delivery
    - Interact with sales and broadcast TV counterpart to formulate marketable sales strategies that are highly customized to fit specific client objectives
    - Develop/Implement processes to facilitate the most efficient and timely communication between Ad Sales and site team on a consistent basis
    - Participate in senior-level client/agency calls on a regular basis (both in a Sales-support function and independently)
    - Build and communicate marketplace positioning and core messaging to be used in all client/agency communications
    - Development of all NBC Olympics digital sales collateral and marketing materials, defining and communicating key brand attributes and messages throughout all customer touch points


    - Experience working with web site producers and ad sales teams to execute complex and robust campaigns
    - Ability to effectively interact with senior-level management, both internally and externally
    - Ability to translate advertiser objectives into programmable elements from concept to execution
    - Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
    - Management experience
    - Knowledge of the various platforms, creative units/executions and current competitive sports media landscape
    - In depth knowledge and comprehension of web technologies at a strategic level including: Online advertising and media practices, Online advertising measurement, Website build process, Website measurement, Search Engine Marketing
    - 6-8 years of experience at an agency, media company, sales organization or in research, where the individual was responsible for presentation, creative and promotion development. Five years of Internet experience mandatory
    - College degree, MBA preferred
