The Programming Scheduler is responsible for the implementation of the monthly grids in our scheduling systems for EPIX, EPIX 2, EPIX 3, and The 3 from EPIX and the delivery of well-constructed daily programming logs which are strategically scheduled based on the priorities of the networks with a focus on both long-term and short-term initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule promotional materials within breaks, balancing network priorities with cross-departmental initiatives.
Implementation of monthly programming grids by scheduling all on-going series, movies, and specials into PTS.
Communicate with the NOC to address and resolve any operational issues that arise, including any customized program formatting for special events.
Work with Manager of Program Scheduling and Director of Program Scheduling to create all monthly scheduling strategies for movies, specials, and series.
Work with the Manager of Program Scheduling to release all revisions to the monthly programming schedules in a timely and efficient manner.
Screen all promotional material to have an understanding of the look and feel of the on-air brand.
Communicate daily with the Creative department to determine the availability of promotional materials.
Contribute to department brainstorming sessions in regards to quarterly stunt planning and custom sponsor program stunt planning.
Analyze the break structure of our competitors and suggest alternate ways to promote to maximize audience retention.
Screen movies and make recommendations for potential acquisitions.
Order on-air graphic materials from creative for all new titles for the month.


SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Close attention to detail a must.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge and enthusiasm for the entertainment industry and pop culture.
Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and manage time well.
Must be able to communicate and interact well with a diverse group of people across many departments


EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of experience in program scheduling preferred
Scheduling system experience preferred
