Summit Business Media is hiring for a Portal Editor for PropertyCasualty360.com to work out of their Hoboken, NJ office. This position will be dedicated to digital media to lead our recently launched, but already-award-winning (and traffic-exploding) web site, PropertyCasualty360.com.Key Responsibilities:PropertyCasualty360.com is the worlds leading site covering the multi-trillion-dollar property & casualty insurance marketone of the worlds most-critical business sectors and an industry that offers a chance to produce on a daily basis hard-hitting, compelling stories on everything from natural disasters to criminal fraud to complex federal legislation to cutting-edge technology.Our coverage is divided into 5 key channels, each of which has a dedicated editorial team (and print magazine) behind it. The Senior Web Editor will work daily with each channel editor, plus the online news editor, to program the richest-possible lineup for each channel, our homepage and our daily and weekly newsletters, with content consisting of breaking news; digitally enhanced print content; and web-exclusive, multimedia-rich features, reports, tools and special sections. Position reports directly to the Group Editorial Director.The experience and skills of ideal candidate include:2-3 years serving as the top editor or second-in-command of a major business-news web site with a significant daily publishing schedule and rich use of multimedia- but with 5-7 years of business-journalism experienceExperienced, hands-on producer of multimedia content (video, slideshows, podcasts, interactive graphics), with in-depth familiarity with Final Cut Pro or X. Show us examples of your being an accomplished digital storyteller who makes optimum use of the webProven ability to conceive and create special, online content sections around specific themes using a variety of mediaExtensive background working with print editors to digitally enhance their content for the web, tablets and apps.
