Join the foreign rights division of our Subsidiary Rights department as a Rights Coordinator. The Rights Coordinator supports two Senior Managers who sell the rights of our adult trade titles to agents and publishers all over the world. In this role you will have the opportunity to interact with foreign publishers and agents, craft pitch letters, and prepare contracts.Specifically, the Rights Coordinator:- Performs administrative duties for two Senior Managers pertaining to all aspects of foreign subsidiary rights. - Assists in the licensing of foreign permissions and selected titles; generates and prepares contracts in connection with such sales. - Responds to rights-related queries from in-house personnel and outside parties; assists in submission, negotiation and sale of foreign rights on selected titles. - Liaises with foreign agents and foreign publishers on requests for production material. - Assists in the preparation for three annual international book fairs.Requirements:- 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience- 1 year prior experience required, preferably in publishing- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to set priorities under pressure - Ability to work independently - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe AcrobatIf interested in this position, please submit your cover letter and resume online at http://harpercollinscareers.com.No phone calls/agencies.
