Conde Nast seeks a Senior Designer for a full-time staff position.

The Senior Designer conceives, designs and produces branding, marketing and sales materials for Details Magazine and its advertisers. Consulting with the Creative Director, the Lead Designer develops concepts, implements design strategies and produces high-quality solutions. This position balances creative leadership, design expertise, project management skills and production knowledge to deliver compelling creative solutions. He or she is an integral part of the studio's creative culture.

General responsibilities could include: Design Leadership and Implementation - providing design leadership on projects assigned to the in-house design studio; offering strategic design and production consultation to internal and external clients; collaborating with sales staff, merchandisers, project managers and management to translate marketing, merchandising and branding goals into design strategies; designing and managing the production of visual design solutions; overseeing the production of photoshoots, video shoots and interactive products; working closely with other leads to resolve issues and maintain the quality of creative deliverables; providing design-mentorship to junior designer and interns by exposing them to new challenges and staying abreast of current design trends and fashion culture. Studio Management - advocating for a structured and collaborative design process; ensuring quality control of all creative deliverables; sourcing strategic vendor partnerships; managing vendor relationships and overseeing studio workflow. Production - creating production schedules for key projects; ensuring digital files are accurate and error-free and managing and maintaining design assets and archives.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions with six years of agency experience. Expertise in at least 3 of the following areas is critical: print communications, brand & identity, web experiences, photo shoots, publication design, video, sales presentations. This individual will have the proven ability to articulate design concepts effectively to both internal and external audiences and will possess effective communication skills especially focused on collaborating with project stakeholders. Must have a BFA in Graphic Design and be highly competent with Adobe Creative Suite. Experience or strong interest in digital technologies/video direction with a passion for fashion (particularly men's fashion) and contemporary popular culture preferred.
