Some Background

Previously, all things film, as well as all things digital, as well as all things print and production was handled by a single Head of Integrated Production. So while we love and are committed to integration, we found this set-up diluted our making expertise and rendered Head of Integrated production spread too thin. Moving forward were pursing a two-headed model, or as we have affectionately begun to call it the two-dads and/or two-moms and/or one mom and one dad model. The idea is for one mom/dad/humanoid to lead all things technical and for one mom/dad/humanoid to lead all things integrated (broadcast, digital, print). Both will demand technical expertise. Both will demand strong leadership. Both will demand a passion and burning desire to make stuff.

The Opportunity

Our department is small, but the job is big. Big because it is an opportunity to build on a solid foundation. Big because it demands you lead the agency, our production staff and our clients. Big because we need your help defining how we create more, make more, write more and do more both in and out of house. Big because youll be helping to create a collaborative, integrated place to work where the culture is about sharing, growing and bringing to life great ideas. Big because youll be part of a small, tight-knit management group empowered to build this agency (or whatever it becomes) as we see fit.

The Role (A dryer version of the above)

-Work with the CCO to set the bar for integrated production within the agency.
-Be the client facing, film and digital production face of the agency.
-Determine how to build, develop, dollar-matize and staff a nimble in house production department.
-Demonstrate and develop thought leadership in the industry.
-Inspire and ignite passion for digital and filmmaking within the agency and creative department.
-Work with a Head of Digital/Head of Technology/Digital Badass to co-build an integrated production department and, more importantly, an integrated production department.
-Lead and develop bad ass filmed content based on clear understanding of clients business goals, overall brand strategy, budget, and online media plan.
-Focus on communicating and implementing best practices with internal teams because what kind of job description would this be without the phrase best practices?
-Empower teams in the development, administration, and communication of detailed project schedules to manage both internal and client expectations --- and ensure jobs deliver on time (because missing air-dates sucks.)
