Atlantic LIVE Marketing Fellowship

AtlanticLIVE, the live events arm of The Atlantic magazine, seeks a highly motivated, creative individual to join their team and assist in the development and marketing of a wide range of editorial events as a Marketing Fellow.

The Atlantic Media Fellowship Program is a structured, 6 month, paid fellowship for top-tier talent committed to a career in media. Our fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment provides a unique opportunity for media industry exposure, individual project management and ownership, and team development. We seek equally motivated on-the-ball, out-of-the-box thinkers ready to hit the ground running and learn the ropes of media event production.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Contribute to writing and creation of marketing proposals and RFPs, highlighting the capabilities of The Atlantics live event portfolios
  • Participate in client proposal brainstorms and sales meetings, and complete corresponding follow-up activities and assignments
  • Creatively develop and research new event concepts, elements, and topics
  • Work closely with Events, Integrated Marketing, and Advertising Sales team colleagues to create timely, creative, and high-impact sales materials
  • Collaborate across teams in management of Events.TheAtlantic.com, ensuring content remains crisp and current; oversee publishing and captioning of event-specific photo galleries
  • Manage tracking systems for proposal creation, internal review, and client delivery and response, and provide additional organizational support to the Events Marketing Manager as needed


QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Outstanding record of achievement in current/past positions
  • Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management and judgment, and the ability to manage complex operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong and persuasive communication skills, both verbally and in print
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel required; proficiency with InDesign and the ability to develop graphic presentations preferred
  • Interest in national affairs, politics, business, and the arts with knowledge of leading figures in each category
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, track record of initiative, and ownership of work
  • True service ethic, spirit of generosity, and gracious sense of humor
  • Bachelors degree and superior academic record
