As an integral member of our Corporate Communications team, the Program Manager will generate exciting news and awareness for Virgin Atlantic's brand, products, services, and management, utilizing a combination of effective communications programs, strategic events, and general support. The creative, versatile self-starter we seek will be able to provide strategic insight as well as roll up their sleeves to work in collaboration with the team to execute an annual plan that strengthens our brand awareness and creates preference vs. competitors.

Key functions will be:
- Manage daily Press Office functions and incoming requests
- Act as a company spokesperson as necessary
- Develop and produce press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials
- Organize and attend press tours, conferences and trips
- Identify, monitor, and engage social media influencers
- Manage admin responsibilities including budgeting and reporting

The successful candidate will have a BS/BA and 5 plus years of communications experience with demonstrated agency or client side experience. Previous responsibility developing, writing and preparing speeches, presentations and other communications for senior management essential. Must have strong journalist relationships and experience with creating/executing successful social media campaigns that maximize positive exposure and generate measurable results. Experience with planning and executing large-scale corporate, trade or consumer events in addition to developing, managing and executing successful PR and publicity programs preferred. Must be eligible to reside and work in the U.S with the ability to travel internationally and domestically by car, train, and/or plane in addition to working extended hours on short notice.
