Scripps Networks Interactive is seeking an experienced leader to join its digital group. The Programming Manager, Entertainment for and its digital extensions is responsible for programming key areas, leading product initiatives, developing and implementing cross-platform strategies, coordinating day-to-day operations and optimizing the overall content and product experience.

Key responsibilities in this role are as follows:

- Craft daily programming to achieve strategic and operational business goals and targeted financial and content-quality results, with a focus on the homepage, site sections and packages devoted to shows and chefs.
- Play a pivotal role in product development and site redesigns.
- Manage promotional planning and pacing to ensure performance goals are met.
- Support ad sales strategy and take part in developing online revenue streams.
- Utilize site metrics, research and analysis to inform business and content strategies.
- Work with site editors accountable for content and product development.
- Balance the needs of internal and external partners to maximize the business as a whole.
- Act as a liaison with TV network and digital groups including editorial and product development, ad sales, ad sales marketing, consumer marketing, new business, research, production, creative services and technology.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 to 8 years of proven experience in the digital field, with a diverse skill set that includes site programming, creative strategy, ad sales strategy, business strategy, site analytics and business analytics.

On a daily basis, the Programming Manager will:

- Participate in the development of analytics-driven content experiences, products and ad sales solutions.
- Interface with interactive ad sales marketing and weigh in on the core teams responses to RFPs and other ad sales needs.
- Act as a point person for marketing and new business efforts that require digital support.
- Help with the implementation and maintenance of partnerships.
- Participate in cross-category sales strategy/planning for package and product rollouts.
- Contribute to strategy for mobile products and other digital extensions.
- Work with research, inventory and forecasting teams on defining and developing new analysis reports as needed.
- Help facilitate ongoing communication with TV network and ad sales stakeholders on digital products.
- Assist the Programming Director, Entertainment and the VP of FN Digital in interacting with decision-makers to influence the growth of the business.
- Build and enhance important internal and external relationships in order to execute deals.
- Strong industry experienceweb, entertainment/lifestyle media, new platforms (mobile, social, etc.), product developmentis required. Background in food/recipes/cooking is also key.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of web technologies, media production, web design, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
- Strong writing skills, specifically to fit the voice of the overall brand/site strategy.
- Promotional skills including metrics analysis.
- Ability to utilize HTML and web content management tools.

Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience.
