Offering an expertise of website and social media best practices, the Lead Digital Producer is responsible for leading the digital media production team and working with representatives of other departments to establish priorities and to collaborate on the creation of digital content that encourages tune-in and affinity for BBC America properties. The LeadProducer will help craft the overall editorial strategy of BBC America's digital platforms and will ensure BBC America brand adherence.

Define, plan, schedule and control project activities, applying creative and strategic thinking, technical and project management skills to satisfy project requirements for a portfolio of BBC America digital properties
Lead and inspire teams by communicating vision for the project
Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal processes to allow for smooth execution of projects and improved efficiency across departments and project team members
Assist Digital Production team on projects; provide mentoring, training and best practices recommendations
Act as project liaison with other departments, particularly marketing, the BBC America Shop and Sales & Distribution
Deliver and maintain show sites
Create, conceptualize and execute engaging content with an emphasis on driving tune-in. Write copy as needed and oversee other editorial content to ensure that it adhere to the BBC America voice and brand
Manage and coordinate the gathering, distribution and use of all assets including video, images and copy
Create and distribute site newsletter
Plan the integration and promotion of e-commerce on BBCAmerica.com where contextually relevant
Identify other opportunities to further company objectives online
Communicate project status, key issues and decisions, and coordinate meetings throughout the project lifecycle with appropriate business units and stakeholders
Assure a high level of quality across all work in keeping with BBC standards
Manage a team of Producers and ensure that deliverables are

5-7 years experience creating and maintaining websites.
Deep knowledge of Social Media.
Experience with content management systems. Familiarity with WordPress a plus.
Superior writing skills and ability to adapt the voice of show properties for an online audience
Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Strong understanding of digital technologies and trends
Strong interpersonal communication skills as a team leader and team player
Experienced manager who will lead by example and possesses the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Proficient in MS Office, Photoshop, HTML. Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro/video editing experience a plus, as is basic knowledge of CSS and other web technologies. Comfortable learning new applications as necessary.
Forward, creative thinker able to develop new ideas with an ability to develop creative solutions to production challenges.
Knowledge of U.S. and U.K. entertainment a must.
