Job Title:
Social Media Editor

Job Purpose:
Develops and manages IBTimes social editorial content and plans, tactics and analysis. This is a full-time opportunity.
Job Duties:
Works with editors to find, arrange and position relevant content on social media networks
Work with the Director of Audience Analytics to produce analytic progress reports measuring IBTImes social media efforts.
Recommends and contributes in the conception of new social products and programming social media programming initiatives
Must be comfortable in a start-up environment
Engage in community management and audience development
Must be able to maintain deadlines and ensure that posts are adhering to corporate identity, SEO specifications, and journalistic integrity
Works together with editors and reporters to execute internal and external social content objectives and calendars, as well as growing general site usage, page impressions and site visits
Produce and broadcast engaging content for social media properties
Will need to understand the corporate identity of IBTimes and constantly relay it across social media networks while being able to communicate it quickly across all web properties.
Create editorial content calendars across multiple social media platforms for social media initiatives of all magnitudes
The Social Media Editor will administer, proofreading, curating (content) and publishing of posts leveraging social media channels to grow IBTimes digital footprint
Must have experience training reporters and editors with social media best practices, and have a previous experience and interest for news, blogs, and social media marketing
