We currently have the following position available:
The Social Media Marketer will be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all elements of the social media strategic plan. As part of the marketing team, this individual will be tasked with expanding the brand's role within social media, inclusive of the blogosphere, in an effort to grow market share, increase customer engagement and awareness, while driving sales.

Responsibilities:
* Recommend, coordinate and execute social media strategies for various social platforms that drive store traffic and sales. Includes, but not limited to updating Facebook - publishing content on an ongoing basis, experimenting with new post techniques, and maintaining content along with page graphics in concert with consumer advertising. Additionally, responsible for managing the brands Twitter feed - monitoring, creating, and publishing tweets, to engage within this community to increase followers.
* Create, present and execute editorial calendars for Facebook and Twitter, in working with the Advertising team to keep brand messaging and merchandise consistent in an effort to recruit, retain, and foster loyalty among friends and followers throughout the social space.
* Serve as the brand's voice within the social media space by ensuring positive messaging is maintained and policies followed. Continually monitor Facebook and Twitter accounts, respond to consumers, post status updates, tweet based on editorial calendar and respond to consumer tweets. In addition, recommend and implement consistencies of brand messages on all digital platforms- FB, Twitter, BurlingtonBrag.com and BurlingtonCoatFactory.com.
* Provide weekly analytics and qualitative reports. Establish social media benchmarks, summarize performance, monitor industry and competitors use of social media, and recommend actions to improve key metrics for all social media programs - grow friends/followers and increase engagement, while identifying opportunities to create and enhance user experience while driving store traffic and sales.

Scope and Impact:
This role will aid in the development and execution of a social media marketing strategy aimed at driving sales across all business units.

Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience:
Minimum of three to five years experience working within the social media space, and possess a strong public relations/communications orientation. He/she must be an expert in the current state of social media utilization, especially by fashion and retail companies. They are someone who is knowledgeable about social media/networking platforms and associated monitoring tools (including but not limited to Omniture, Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, YouTube Insights, Tweetdeck, etc.).

Skills and Abilities:
* Demonstrated experience using social media platforms for business use, representing an organization/brand
* Knowledge of best practices for social media marketing in the retail industry, and a clear understanding of their respective analytics
* Strong experience working with social media platforms, specifically Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Foursquare
* Must have exceptional social and traditional writing and editing skills
* Effectively resolve challenges and/or roadblocks and know when to escalate
* Highly organized and detail-oriented
* Works well under tight deadlines in a fast pace work environment and able to respond quickly to ad hoc requests and changes
* Team player
* Mobile marketing and analytic skills a plus
* Positive, upbeat, can-do, professional and responsible attitude, independent and self-directed, yet also team-oriented
* Minimal travel as necessary
