The lifeblood of the agency. Our first point of contact. A type-A who finds it impossible to make a bad first impression and would consider exchanging a loved one for a new business win. Yes, we are looking for a new-business black belt with serious Kung-Fu. Someone who can help us make the most of our increasing assets multiple Cannes Lions, multiple Effies, a new CCO, a new Head of Design, a new Director of Integrated Production and help leverage them for growth.

What We Do
In any given year, we produce a number of complex, multi-platform campaigns for EA titles like Dead Space (Your Mom Hates Dead Space), Mass Effect, Star Wars and others governed by lengthy NDAs that promise physical harm to those who divulge. At the same time we also produce international online film pieces for Dockers, traditional brand campaigns for Del Monte as well as work for Kikkoman and PG&E.

The Role (a dryer version of the above)
Front-end prospect and strategy development. This involves dipping into your solid rolodex, identifying prospects, working with pitch consultants, writing RFPs, creating and managing a database of case studies and experience, collaborating with other DFCB offices and IPG, and the management of leads from the initial identification to an interaction with the Agency. Specific duties include:
- Responding to RFPs.
- Gathering competitive info.
- Updating new business data bank and staying abreast of upcoming pitches.
- Developing prospect list and specific pursuit plans to help Draftfcb secure the right clients for our growth and vitality.
- Building working relationships with outside consultants and acting as liaison between the agency and consultant (or prospect).
- Working with the leadership team to establish growth plans for current clients.
- Generating unexpected ideas to help raise the profile of Draftfcb among prospects with innovative thinking.
- Attending appropriate industry functions to spread the good word.
- The production of materials for pitches.

The VP Business Development Bad Ass leads efforts to win new clients and, in many instances, expanded assignments from current clients. Specific duties include:
- Pulling together and supervising the pitch team and all departments to ensure all aspects of the new business pitch effort are completed on schedule (and on budget)essentially managing the project from beginning to end.
- Gathering/updating credential information (billings, head count, etc.).
- Maintaining case-studies library.
- Maintaining bio database with photos.
- Contributing to development of reels/mpegs needed for case studies and pitches.
- Preparing status reports and senior-level management reports.
- Maintaining in-depth working knowledge of all other Agency departments.

The Compulsories
- Bachelors degree and/or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years work experience advertising agency with digital and other non-traditional agency experience is a plus.
- Extensive experience and understanding of general advertising, marketing and interactive, with a specific background in strategic planning, account management, marketing or creative and/or new business.
- Willingness to travel and to work long, flexible hours.
- Proficiency on both Mac and PC platforms, with special emphasis on PowerPoint and Keynote apps. (We're pro Mac, just so you know.)
- Proficiency in presentation-related technology (asset management systems, extranets, portals, multimedia, etc.).
- A digital, social networker. If people are tweeting it, you know about it. If decision makers are talking about it, you're part of the conversation.
- Mad cocktail-party conversation skills.
- Can hold your own in assorted bar games.
- Favorite quote, Coffees for closers.
