An essential member of the Communications Group at WNET New York Public Media, the Communications Marketing Specialist is responsible for all marketing and advertising deliverables including copy writing, scheduling and continuity, liaising with internal and external clients to test, troubleshooting and analyzing data for new or existing ad products. Specific responsibilities include:
Work directly with media outlets/buying agencies to obtain requirements for campaign requests and provide support for ad-related inquiries/issues;
Write and schedule radio/print/online ads ;
Work with in-house research and other departments to analyze campaign performance ensuring optimal delivery;
Investigate and resolve marketing issues when they arise;
Liaise with external marketing partners to ensure smooth execution of deliverables
Work with cross functional groups to support marketing projects;
Coordinate and manage awards submissions and budget.

Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years experience in marketing/communication (agency or in-house), knowledge and understanding of general online business, advertising and marketing principles, familiarity with Flash, HTML, JavaScript and Rich Media and working knowledge of content management tools.
Strong candidates will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills; as well as a high degree of flexibility, independence, creative thinking, and problem-solving ability. The Communications Marketing Specialist will approach assignments and areas of responsibility in a proactive, self-directed, enthusiastic manner, and seek to add value, show initiative, and grow their contributions while developing accomplished marketing skills.
