The Nielsen Jewelry Group's high energy Marketing Department seeks a Senior Graphic Designer to create designs that engage, attract and sell. Develops or acquires images used in a variety of creative projects, including advertisements, email marketing, brochures, corporate identity, packaging, presentations, websites, displays and signage. Also responsible for the design, layout and formatting of materials. Designs may integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative and other elements. Must have a strong sense of concept development, in addition to communication, research, problem-solving and presentation skills. Must be proficient with applications such as Adobe Creative Suite. Web design skills may also be required. Should be able to collaborate with teams to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects.

- 5+ years experience in graphic artist role or 3+ years as an Art Director
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- Strong communication skills - ability to interface with marketing, sales and operations teams internally, along with outside creative agencies
- Able to manage several projects both small and large in scope (e.g. print ads, web ads, HTML emails, PDF forms, brochures, postcards, directories, show signage)
- Strong conceptual thinking, design skills and upscale aesthetic
- Brief and manage external suppliers and internal clients to ensure deadlines and requirements are met
- Highly organized
- Highly focused attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills; able to work independently and as a team player
- A great attitude and a strong work ethic

** Since this position services an east coast based team, work hours are to start between 7-7:30 ending between 4-4:30 (with an hour lunch or depending on time taken)

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS (must be very proficient in these programs):
- Adobe InDesign CS5.5
- Adobe Illustrator CS5.5
- Adobe Photoshop CS5.5
- Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5
- Adobe Acrobat Pro CS5.5

- Background in HTML, CSS, website back-end is a major plus
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Excel
- Quark Express 8.0
