HarperCollins Publishers is looking for an experienced Production Assistant to assist the Executive Producer. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the video studio and coordinates all location shoots. The position offers great exposure to video creation and new digital book formats like enhanced e-books. The Production Assistant:-Learns and understands every aspect of the enhanced ebook process.-Syncs up footage.-Acts as PA on in-house and out-of-house photo shoots-Edits videos on Final Cut Pro.-Makes all file conversions.-Uploads videos, poster frames and graphics to the ftp site.-Keeps the calendar up to date at all times.-Provides lists of stills and video to be purchased from vendors.-Provides complete and accurate credit lists.-Creates and sends Day of Shoot documents.-Updates and provides release forms.-Manages invoices and all paperwork.-Presents travel budgets and books travel.-Researches and books vendors and locations.-Keeps complete show bibles for every title.-Creates content placement maps based on client or producer approval.-Checks content and caption placement.
