Description:
Provide front-line control room support for all technical personnel and related issues to production, Is the liaison with satellite operations, editorial/production clients and other technical operations groups.
This individual will handle live remote coordination, assign IFB/PL for remotes, and make video/audio adjustments to frame syncs, and can even book facilities.
This individual will also be responsible for staffing studio crews and control room personnel, scheduling and handling production requests amongst all technical operations groups.
Knowledge of acquisition, edit and archive workflow helpful. Will become well versed in the operations of all control rooms and studio functions to be able to handle any and all requests.
This person will also be responsible for managing a division of the technical division along with writing and delivering annual performance reviews. Recruiting freelancers for this group as well.
Planning for large and small -scale remotes (i.e. elections, full shows on the road) - book crews, hotels, travel arrangements, order or rent equipment and compile list of technical gear needed, office space, talent requests, makeup, and anything else that production requires.
Travel to/from remote sites, work on site and be the lead person for large and small-scale events.
Will be responsible to pull together the budget for the remotes that they are assigned to and manage that budget.

Responsibilities:
The Technical/Production Manager will provide front-line management of personnel, facilities, equipment and technology for a customer driven production operations group supporting News and Business.
For assigned program(s), work closely with producers and directors in planning programs and managing field, studio, and manpower scheduling to minimize costs to the customer and channel.
Work closely with finance managers in preparation of show or facility budgets and expense reporting.
Must understand acquisition, studio, editing, and graphics processes to deliver quality of service and maximum resource utilization.
Be responsible for certain compliance policies
