The Role
Bloomberg Mobile is seeking a marketing director who has responsibility for Brand Positioning & Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Acquisition and Retention for Bloomberg's mobile products for consumers.

This marketing director will help develop the marketing strategy and is responsible for overseeing the overall implementation of marketing campaigns and tactics that drive mobile product and subscriber growth. This position will work closely with internal and external agencies, as well as across Bloomberg business units to successfully launch, market and leverage on-going promotional opportunities for Bloomberg's mobile products. This role is critical to Bloomberg's stated goal of growing its global consumer brand and generating substantial advertising and subscription revenues. This position reports to the Head of Marketing for Mobile.

-Identify, manage and oversee direction for external vendors and agencies to create innovative and high-impact marketing campaigns and promotions that drive mobile subscriber acquisition and retention.
-Proactively collaborate and build relationships with internal stakeholders to identify and maximize marketing opportunities and effectively integrate Bloomberg's mobile products across all relevant business events and initiatives
-Apply rigorous analytics to develop strategic marketing plans and assess the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns
-Create and deliver marketing presentations to communicate strategic marketing vision, campaign strategy and the meeting of strategic goals to the senior management team
-Lead day-to-day implementation of marketing initiatives, including mobile-marketing and SMS campaigns

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully marketing mobile and online products in a consumer oriented company. A deep analytical rigor applied to all activities is essential. At the same time, outstanding judgment and a comfort making decisions with incomplete information must also be present. This role requires one to be experienced, creative and forward-thinking in scoping, negotiating and maintaining business relationships with marketing partners. Experience in helping an advertising sales force generate demand among potential advertisers is valuable. The successful candidate will be a self starter able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization and adept at working in partnership with product development and research teams.

-7+ years of recent & relevant marketing experience with increasing responsibility
-3+ years recent & relevant mobile and online media experience with advertising and marketing
-Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
-Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
-Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
-Ability to project-manage multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
-Global business exposure a plus
-Superior verbal and written communications skills
-Bachelor's degree
