KABC-TV is looking for a Director of Digital Operations to oversee content and features on all KABC-TV digital platforms, including web, mobile, apps and social media (@abc7 is the most-followed local TV station in the country, and ABC7 on Facebook is the most-liked TV station in the country). This position also oversees the digital platforms for, a national entertainment-news brand. The Director works in the KABC-TV newsroom and reports to the Vice President/News Director.

This position is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive digital strategy that supports the station's overall goals, including content creation. It requires someone who can motivate others to ensure the success of the department and the station as a whole. The successful candidate supports ad sales efforts, editorial and promotional decisions. The position identifies opportunities for growth and executes strategies that take advantage of these opportunities, in addition to alerting colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into our operations and activities.

Candidates should possess:
•A strong news background and experience working with broadcast operations
•Strong knowledge of digital production technologies, including content management platforms, web and app development, and social networks
•Solid management experience and a track record in motivating and building strong teams, as well as experience enabling strong interdepartmental relationships
•Exceptional communication and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
