The Senior Content Acquisition Manager for Digital Music will be responsible for securing new content, securing additional rights, developing content strategy, and performing competitive monitoring. You will also be the primary point of contact for a segment of content partners, including music publishers and aggregators. Responsibilities may include:
* Acquiring new content from existing content providers
* Working with existing partners to secure new rights, content types, and ensure renewal of contracts
* Monitoring the competitive landscape to help inform strategic planning
* Performing content strategy analysis to insure our customers have the broadest selection of content available, regardless of territory
* Developing and analyzing business models for new content types
* Developing long lasting relationships with existing and new content providers

Required Experience
* A track record of managing a large number of account relationships, ideally related to media
* Ability to understand and analyze contract terms
* Ability to close straightforward deals at a fast pace
* Great communication and organizational skill
* Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment
* 5+ years of experienced in a related role
* BA/BS required

  • Experience working with domestic and international content owners
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute content acquisition strategies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making, and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold strategic vision
  • Strong bias for action; the ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
  • Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
  • MBA desired
