New Scientist is currently seeking a Recruitment Media Sales Executive to join its already successful team in Waltham.

New Scientist is a media brand that covers science and technology, putting discoveries and advances in the context of everyday life today and in the future. New Scientist goes behind the news to provide users with a commercial and business viewpoint. The New Scientist brand is a trusted source of information for key business decision-makers.

As a Recruitment Media Sales Executive you will be responsible for the recruitment advertising revenue in New Scientist. Your will be office based, but on occasion you will be required to visit clients. You will be selling print and online recruitment advertising space to new and existing customers.

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

- Winning new business & upselling & maintaining accounts
- Keep abreast of competitor activity
- Build long term relationships with clients
- Write succinct and persuasive sales proposals

Experience Required:

- Experience in recruitment advertising sales / media sales / recruiting
- Able sell and close business effectively over the telephone
- People orientated with excellent listening skills
- Able to build business relationships over the telephone
- Able to build professional relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
- Excellent time management
- Strong organizational ability
- PC literate
- Commercial acumen
- Demonstrable understanding of sales proposition
- Demonstrable understanding of digital sales, able to advise customers on best practice including SEO
- Deadline oriented
- Highly motivated
- Team Player
