Job Description:
Prudential Advertising is in search of a highly motivated individual with experience and a fanatical passion for building and developing brand communities to serve as the Community Manager/ Social Media Strategist of Prudential's social media communities. In addition to the management of these communities, this person would play a strategic role as point of contact for representatives of the various corporate and business groups within Prudential, as well as for our external partner agencies involved in our social media activations. This person will be responsible for developing a long-lead editorial calendar of endorsable content, connecting with Prudential's fans, followers, and target audience, and monitoring and engaging in digital conversations in order to build a positive presence through the offering of compelling and valuable thought leadership content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop innovative programs and strategies through collaboration with the various corporate and business groups, as well as external partner agencies ensuring that community management strategy supports overall brand goals and objectives
• Work with senior leadership in to establish community management goals, objectives, and strategies
• Interact with follower, fan base, and target audience
• Actively reach out to centers of influence to promote content and generate conversations around relevant topics
• Stay abreast of the top priorities, objectives and issues concerning the various lines of business
• Be the eyes and ears of our brand as if your own reputation depended on it
• Participation in conversations that surround our content and brand, answer comments; Be a mediator
• Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding our brand, report to appropriate parties
• Provide training of internal team members as needed
o Stay current in broad social media trends to ensure state-of-the-art community support
o Develop and implement creative communication to drive optimal participation in daily conversation and strategic engagement initiatives
• Leverage tracking strategies to monitor and evaluate impact of programs in market; develop reports on program effectiveness in market and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations for program enhancement and improvement on an ongoing, and as needed basis
• Work closely with internal media planning and buying team to create a coordinated go-to-market social media outreach plan

Qualifications and Experience
• Demonstrated creativity and documented immersion in social media. Please provide:
• A portfolio of profiles managed
• Writing samples of blog posts, newsletters, other written content
• Examples of community building efforts either using social media or other platforms
• Ideally, 10 years of experience in content publication or financial services marketing
• Familiarity with financial services industry or other regulated industries
• Passion for and experience with managing social media presences, personal or professional, and an interest in the latest trends
• Knowledge and understanding of social listening tools, and social media platform
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
• Discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content
• Excellent project management and organizational skills; Very high attention to detail
• Confidence to take the lead within a team and work collaboratively with other teams across the organization, and an ability to work individually
• Comfortable working with, interpreting and presenting data
• Good technical understanding and ability to master unfamiliar tools quickly
