Rodale Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Editor for Women's Health magazine. This position is located in our Emmaus, Pennsylvania office and reports to the Executive Editor at Women's Health.

Responsibilities include:
-Overseeing the magazine’s Scoops section: Top-editing the assigning editors’ work on the pages, coordinating and managing the section, working with the art/photo departments on the images and layouts, etc.
-Assigning and editing front-of-book and feature stories on a range of topics, including fitness, health, relationships, and cultural and social issues.
-Covering the book-publishing industry, staying on top of upcoming releases and coordinating the magazine’s coverage.
-Creating and following through on projects that extend the magazine’s brand beyond the pages of the magazine (including the website, books, iPad edition, and other brand extensions).

The ideal candidate will possess:
-Experience assigning and editing stories on health, fitness, and cultural issues related to young women’s lives, and have good general service journalism experience
-At least five years of experience at a major magazine or newspaper
-Be comfortable reviewing scientific research, and have a passion for topics related to women’s health and well-being.
